I am very fond of the music and movies from the 1980s and early 1990s. As a kid, I would fantasize about what the future would look like and what the technology would be. I spent a lot of time playing games on DOS in the 90s.Another hobby of mine is studying different cultures. I like watching Bollywood (Indian) movies. My favorite Bollywood actors are Shahrukh Khan and Kajol; the first Bollywood movie that I watched was “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.”
I started watching Bollywood movies after playing the game “Prince of Persia: the Sands of Time.” I loved that game so much that it got me interested in Indian and Middle Eastern entertainment. Originally, I started out trying to get into
Indian music, but I did not like too many songs aside from listening to DJ Arash, Shreya Ghoshal, Vasundhara Das, and Pakistani singer Nazia Hassan. So, I turned to Arab music (mainly Egyptian and Lebanese). My favorite Arab singers are Amr Diab and Nancy Ajram; around this time, I tried to gain an interest in Arab movies, but I could not find any subtitles for them.
In switching back to Indian culture, I found subtitles for the Bollywood movies and have been enjoying them ever since. “Prince of Persia” also caused me to experiment in working with Alias Maya. I like how Maya can help create realistic-looking animations.
Because of my interest in learning about multiple cultures, I gained a lot of friends from around the world. These friends have helped to open my eyes and understand the differences and similarities that we all share; as a teenager, I even had penpals in Japan that would mail magazines to me.
In conclusion, all of these aspects that I have stated above make me who I am today. I have many interests — most of them derived from my childhood. In the future, I will expand this site and add more information in order to let you — the viewer — get to know who I am and the work that I do.
